Privacy Policy

The team at Get Good Gear take your privacy seriously and promise to keep to keep you information secure.

Refunds and returns – goods

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem.

This is when the item:

  • Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
  • Is unsafe
  • Is significantly different from the sample or description
  • Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we may compensate you for any drop in value.

If the problem is not major, we may choose to repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.

Please keep your proof of purchase—e.g. your receipt.

Refunds and remedies – services

We are not required to provide a refund if you change your mind about the services you asked for. But you can choose to cancel your booking contract, and receive a refund for unconsumed services if the service has a major problem.

This is when the service:

  • Has a problem that would have stopped someone from purchasing the service if they had known about it
  • Is substantially unfit for its common purpose, and can’t be easily fixed within a reasonable time
  • Does not meet the specific purpose you asked for and cannot be easily rectified within a reasonable time
  • Creates an unsafe situation.

If you choose to continue with the service, you can ask us to compensate you for any difference in the value of the services we provided and what you paid. If the problem is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed within this time, you can choose to have someone else fix the problem and recover all reasonable costs from us.

Please keep proof of your agreement—e.g. your invoice or quote.

Cancellations – services 

We are not required to provide a refund if you cancel a pre-arranged booking if the problem was outside the control of the Get Good Group or if you:

  • Changed your mind
  • Insisted on having a service provided in a particular way, against the provider’s advice
  • Failed to clearly explain your needs to the provider.

A cancelation may be accepted, subject to discretional approval when the cancellation meets the following conditions.

  • A minimum of 2 weeks notice
  • Subject to the deposit refund policy

Deposit Refund: 

If you have paid a deposit and canceled your appointment without good reason (for example, but not limited to, if you change your mind), you will lose that deposit up to the value of 10% of the total cost of the service provided.

If your deposit included the purchase of custom made parts or preliminary labour to fulfil your service the cost of these parts may be help from your deposit

Refund of the remaining deposit will be processed with 5 working days.

Deposit refunds will be forfeit if requested after the confirmation of fitting or if requested after modification of product to suit customers requested customisation.

Extreme Performance and or modifications: 

(Including off-road only modifications)

When the customer has requested an extreme tune, modification or off-road only modification the Legendex warranty does not apply. The customer acknowledges that extreme tuning, vehicle modifications, and off-road only modifications can shorten the expected life expectancy of the vehicle and may render the vehicle unsuitable for legal use as a registered vehicle.

In accepting the proposal the customer acknowledges they are solely responsible for the legal use of the vehicle.  

Legendex states that customers who choose to insist on modifications outside of Australian transport requirements may impact law enforcement and their insurance coverage. Some modifications have an impact on the safety of the vehicle on and off-road and the customer acknowledges Legendex staff have not given legal advice relative to these modifications.

Cancellation and refund – Procedure 

All requests for cancellation and or refund must be made in writing via our web form.

A copy of all relevant information documentation (photo’s, quote, or invoice as required)

The team at Legendex reserves the right to change these policies at any time, these policies are not intended to impede on Consumer rights & guarantees. The Australian Consumer Law sets out consumer rights that are called consumer guarantees. These include your rights to a repair, replacement, or refund as well as compensation for damages and loss and being able to cancel a faulty service.
